Remind Message 9/25

Greetings All,

I just wanted to send a few updates regarding the class this week!

  1. For tonight’s HW, students are to give a Class Dojo sign up sheet for the parents/guardians. Class Dojo has been suggested for all Lumen Christi Academies as a way to be transparent about your student in the classroom. Further, it provides good socio-emotional feedback for all parties. Please sign up at your most convienience.

  2. Progress Reports will be coming out this Friday, Sept. 28! With that in mind, we will begin tutoring for Math and English instruction beginning next Monday, October 1st. I will be making calls this week regarding your students option(s) to attend tutoring. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me or set up a time after school to meet. Please remember that these progress reports are just snapshots of students growth in the beginning stages of the year (which is just a lot of review from 3rd grade!)

  3. IDs (Identification Cards) have been sent home today as well. These are not needed at school, however, students may keep them in their binders. If students begin to use these inappropriately, they will be confiscated and will be asked to be kept at home.

  4. The class website is up and running, if you would like to see what the website contains, please visit goo.gl/JPWnCV , csantana42.wix.com/MrSatQAS , or visit the school website and click the 4th grade page. If you would like to know more information about the blog, please read the blog post titled “Welcome & Sorry” to learn about what this blog aims to be and what the contents of the website are.

Again, my goal for this is to be as transparent with you all as possible. Please let me know if there is anyway possible that I can support your student inside the classroom. I do appreciate any constructive feedback regarding any of the content areas or teaching practices. I do hold high expectations for all our students and know that they will meet them when they are best prepared! Have a blessed night!
